NHRA Museum Revisited

NHRA Museum had interesting Cobra / Carrol Shelby display, so decided to visit. No tripod, bad lighting and limited photo skills (will learn one day how to take pictures) here's what I got :)

Porsche Museum Revisit

One of my favourite attractions in Stuttgart and place to visit whenever in the area. Some quick snapshots of the cars I haven't had here before.

Dealership is the next building, this is the museum..

A shot for you know who :)

BMW Welt & Museum

BMW Welt and the Museum were sort of last thing to cross on "my list" to visit among the "major German car brands factory" museums (well, I don't include Opel to that list :)

Seeing that late 70's/early 80's 3-series reminded me about my teenage years as that was one of the desirable first cars back then when it was one generation older than a new one.

The Lotus-BMW Formula 2 engine

Focke Wulf FW 190 engine.

Omistettu Lohjan tähtimoottori-harrastajalle :)

I guess the "please don't touch" texts should be translated to Italian too?

The 2002 and Isetta displays were really beautifully done.

While all of the factories have service to pick up your new car I had never actually witnessed that happening. Some other visitors gave even a standing ovation to new car owners. Okay, I can understand that if you're buying something special like Porsche or higher end BMW or Mercedes but there were several "start of the price sheet" 4-bangers..

Audi Forum

At this leg of our "Amazing Race" I could choose between two tasks; the Ingolstadt Outlets or Audi Forum. So..

Even though I drive an Audi I am no fan of the brand in general but cannot undig any of the German Silver Arrows from the 30s.

Really liked the Rosemeyer concept car, it looked something like out of Tintin comics.

Sort of German version of original Ford Thunderbird.

I wouldn't mind if this Wanderer would wander to my garage :)

Hamburg Prototype Museum

Finally was able to cross this place from my list :) Really cool place and worth a visit.

Really loved this restoration of a race car display.
