2010 Biggin Hill Air Fair

We wanted to skip the traditional Finnish Midsummer by visiting my wife's relatives in UK and so googled a bit for a "motoring event", found the Biggin Hill Air Fair with 70 years from Battle of Britain theme. Being somewhat anti-war person didn't care the modern planes displaying modern warfare too much but the Red Arrows and WW II planes really made the day.

Misc Shots - Drive from Schwartzwald to Thun

While heading towards Thun we spent some time in Schwarzwald and stumbled upon this Aeroplane Museum in Willingen. It looked very much like privately held but cool place anyhow.




"Beware the hun from the sun" :) I guess most of the heterosexual Finnish males my age read certain war comic books while growing up and can relate to this place. The pair of WW I Fokkers weren't original, but got still kicks out of seeing them.


This two-cylinder DAF boker looked interesting.
