There was interesting discussion in theSamba.com recently about motivating cars "that raised the bar".

Here are some cars from my Top Volkswagens List (in no particular order) that have caused me spending hours of reading magazine articles and browsing photos online. All of them are professionally built having numerous of fabricated parts (like shift lights), certainly not something the average guy in his home garage can do.
